• About the Position:
  • Develop, maintain and support Server Side Java applications that handle core business logic.
  • Design and/or modify systems to accomplish desired functions in an optimum manner.
  • Understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Verify the accuracy and validity of all software developed, including the preparation of sample test data and the execution of program and system testing.
  • Work cooperatively with other developers to design, develop, and implement optimal application solutions.
  • Performs other additional duties as assigned by manager.
• Qualifications:
  • Extensive Java and JEE development experience, preferably gained on complex web-based business applications.
  • In depth knowledge and experience working with ExtJS and JQuery.
  • In depth knowledge and experience working with Hibernate.
  • In depth knowledge and experience working with Struts.
  • Experienced with JSPs, AJAX, Web Services, Apache Tomcat.
  • Highly proficient with Relational Database Systems (MySQL, SQL Server, DB2).
  • Experience in supporting, modifying and maintaining systems and code developed by others.

• Education/Relevant Experience:
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science preferred
  • Ten or more years programming experience in Java JSE and JEE.
  • Ten or more years of experience with Relational Database Systems: DB2, SQL Server and MySQL.
  • Ten or more years of experience developing with Object Oriented Design concepts.
  • Ten or more years of solid web application design and development (in a Java environment).
  • Demonstrated, hands on experience building scalable web based applications in a business environment.

  • Ability to apply structured thinking and ability to simplify complex problems into smaller component parts.
  • An eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness, with motivation and commitment, while accepting challenging deadlines, design changes and complex problem solving.
