Kenco, a leading provider of distribution, transportation, and supply chain intelligence solutions, is pleased to announce that Kristi Montgomery, vice president, IT, will be presenting as part of the International Warehouse and Logistics Association (IWLA) “Fundamentals for Success in Warehouse Logistics Management” course, October 22 to 25, 2012.
Montgomery will present “Warehouse Management Systems—Optimization Through Advanced Technology,” an intensive look into warehouse technology covering basic and advanced functionality, automation, and ancillary systems that add value and innovative ways to improve operational performance, Monday, October 22.
“Technology plays an intrinsic role in every aspect of a logistics company’s operations, including warehousing. The importance of a healthy, forward-thinking and common-sense IT infrastructure cannot be over emphasized,” Kristi said. “Kenco takes IT very seriously and our customers have come to appreciate this uncommon value.”
A long-standing IWLA member and speaker, Montgomery chairs the IWLA Tech Conference committee. She also serves on the Board of Advisors for ITT Technical Institute, is a member of her local chapter of Women in Technology, Inc., and is a Certified Information Executive Level II. She also volunteers in the BuildIT program in the local chapter of Girls, Inc., a program designed to encourage middle and high school girls to enter a career in information technology.
Montgomery joined the Kenco team in 1990. As vice president of technology, she has set standard operating procedures for enterprise IT activities, designed and maintains Kenco’s disaster recovery plan, and manages the catalog of services offered by IT. She is also responsible for managing enterprise architecture and implementations, takes the IT lead in the sales process, directs corporate initiatives, and serves on the organizational Strategic Planning Committee. As a business partner, she is focused on revenue and value generation.
