 Bill Mitchell, a 25-year veteran of the transportation and logistics industry, was recently promoted to Vice President of Kenco Transportation Services, LLC. In this new position, his responsibilities will include developing long-term vision and strategy for Kenco Transportation; expanding Kenco’s portfolio of transportation solutions; new business development to accomplish Kenco Transportation’s aggressive growth plan; and driving process improvements and Operational Excellence initiatives in all areas.
Prior to joining Kenco in May of 2003, Mitchell’s previous work experience in the transportation and logistics industry included management positions with Quaker Oats Company, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Pactiv and Philips Consumer Electronics.
Mitchell is a native of Chattanooga, TN and graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration, with a Major in Transportation and Logistics. He and his wife and two children currently reside on Signal Mountain in Chattanooga, and are members of the Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. In his spare time, Mitchell enjoys family activities and sports of all types.
