Kenco was a proud sponsor of a keynote speaker and breakfast at the Outdoor Industry Association’s (OIA) annual leadership and learning conference, the Rendezvous, in Chattanooga Tennessee October 11 – 14. This event draws hundreds of high-level outdoor industry professionals to one location for seminars, speakers, and active outdoor recreation excursions that promote the growth and success of the outdoor industry. This year, OIA selected Chattanooga for the conference because of its connectedness and commitment to outdoor recreation, and the community’s focus on an environmental and sustainability ethic.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Brian Nattrass, an internationally acclaimed author, speaker, lawyer, and senior corporate advisor on the strategy and execution of sustainability initiatives and corporate responsibility. He has been retained as sustainability advisor to many organizations, both private and public, including Starbucks and Nike in the private sector, and NASA and the U.S. Army in the public sector. His topic was on sustainability and how it applies to industries and companies of all sizes.
