Kenco Transportation Services, member of the Kenco Family of Companies, made a tractor-trailer rig available for
Hamilton
County’s Touch-A-Truck, September 12, 2009, at Tennessee Riverpark.
According to Bill Mitchell, Vice President of Kenco Transportation Services, “The Touch-a-Truck event provided a unique opportunity for families to get up close and personal with a variety of trucks, service rigs and other large motorized vehicles. Kids of all ages enjoyed sitting in the drivers’ seats and visualizing what it’s like to command a big rig.”
Joe Smith, Kenco Corporate Safety Fleet Manager, added, “There were some 400 children and their parents at Touch-a-Truck. David Gardner, Kenco Fleet Safety Generalist, was on hand to explain the safety features of the heavy rig. He also distributed a safety-oriented pamphlet from the American Trucking Association called ‘Sharing the Road with Big Trucks.’”
“This annual program brings families together at a special event that’s both fun and educational. Kenco Transportation Services was proud to be a sponsor and supporter of Touch-a-Truck, Mr. Smith said. ”
Kenco Transportation offers a full suite of transportation services including truckload transportation, dedicated contract carriage for private fleets, and expedited delivery from
