About the Opportunity
The ideal
candidate provides system analysis, design, and development of RPG IV programs
in an IBM iSeries environment utilizing DB2 databases. Design and develop EDI maps using XML, X12,
and Flat file formats utilizing AS2 and FTP protocol technologies. Provide Tier 2 technical support and
troubleshooting assistance requiring debugging of code and data
management. Some Travel required.
About the Position
- Design and develop RPG code for custom WMS as directed
by Technical lead
- Debug code for RPG programs for custom applications as
directed by Technical lead
- Design and develop database structure for RPG programs
for custom applications
- Design and map electronic data exchange between custom
applications and customer host systems
- Utilize SQL as needed for query and reporting functionality
- Test code developed and EDI for quality assurance to
meet quality goals
- Document code and EDI development for troubleshooting
- Support Help Desk team as Tier 2 responder
Qualifications
- Vast knowledge of IBM iSeries command line
functions and development tools including SDA, DDS, and CL
- Demonstrated ability to research, analyze,
and design database and system processes as defined by customer requirements
- Ability to work independently as well as a
collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal
and written
- Excellent customer service skills
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and driven to
succeed
Education/Relevant
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of programming
experience utilizing RPG IV, to include Free Format and Embedded SQL in a
business environment
- Experience with bar coding
software, label software, RF system design and programming,
sub-procedures, and service programs
- EDI X12, XML, Flat File mapping
experience
- AS2, FTP, SFTP experience
- Preferred Experience: Warehouse Management Software, NuBridges
AS2 Software, Trusted Link Software, Goering XML Software
