 About the Opportunity

This position directs the operations of the associates in a given department, as well as directing the schedule of operations in accordance with procedure to maintain service level compliance for the customer.

About the Position

• Provide direction for all shipping and receiving personnel
• Track daily and weekly associate productivity
• Ensure quality of production
• Maintain daily production reports
• Issue disciplinary action to associates
• Maintain associate attendance records
• Perform employee evaluations
• Verify daily associate’s work schedule for payroll
• Develop lead associates for office tasks
• Limit overtime
• Communicate up line to appropriate management
• Supervision of operations personnel to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, personnel policies and workload leveling.
• Misc. tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager, Office Manager, or General Manager.

 Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
• Ability to speak effectively before groups or customers or employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Good working knowledge of computers.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Education/Relevant Experience

Associate degree (A.A. / A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
