Our Company Culture
For over 60 years, we’ve built customer relationships that span decades. Privately held and financially strong, we take our corporate responsibility seriously by engaging in ethical, honest, and sustainable business practices. Our agility, customer dedication, and common sense solutions drive uncommon value.
In 1967, the first management fee contract warehousing agreement with DuPont was drafted and even more impressive is the fact DuPont remains a customer of Kenco to this day.
Since that first contract in 1967, Kenco has grown into a fully integrated logistics provider managing over 90 distribution facilities with more than 30 million square feet of space. Kenco currently serves over 200 clients with varying logistics needs. Through it all, the success of Kenco has been based upon people and positive relationships at every level.
The following three principles reflect our values, define our culture and guide our actions as we seek to fulfill our mission:
- Integrity above profitability - Be honest
- Demonstrate courage, commitment & compassion - Continue to serve
- Be remarkable & create uncommon value - Strive to get better

Industry-Leading, Woman-Owned 3PL Company
Our heritage as a family-based, woman-owned company and the values of our founders permeate every aspect of our business.
In 2012, Kenco became the largest woman-owned logistics company in the United States, certified as a Women's Business Enterprise by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
Today, as Kenco celebrates another year in business, Kenco's Chairwoman is Jane Kennedy Greene, a daughter of Mr. Kennedy Jr.
“I am delighted that Kenco has been certified as a woman-owned business enterprise,” says Greene, who purchased controlling interest in Kenco from her father, Jim Kennedy, Jr. “This allows us to better serve our clients by helping them meet their supplier diversity initiatives.”
Kenco creates a health-centered culture that fosters health and well-being of our company's most important and valuable resources – our employees, by providing opportunities and support to encourage healthy lifestyle choices. Kenco evaluates our programs each year to provide the most valuable benefits package for you and your family. Our benefit plans keep employees and their families happy, healthy and secure both physically and emotionally.
“We Want Our Benefits to Work for You!”
“Kenco is more than a company to me; Kenco represents opportunity and family. I have been with Kenco for almost 20 years, and the opportunity to me means that a person can work their way up from the floor all the way to the General manager with little to no education because of hard work and determination. Kenco trusts that their folks will make the right decisions using the guiding principles and it is a wonderful feeling. Family is also what Kenco represents and preaches. You can tell by the decisions they make from the top level on down; they have been gracious enough to afford me the opportunity to take care of my family at home and work for all of these years and for that I will always be truly grateful and indebted to them.”
Pete B. - Operations
“As a 22-year old college graduate, I started with Kenco on August 13, 2012, as a Site-Dedicated Engineer at a customer facility. In addition to supporting the site, I was also able to travel to other facilities in the same network for Engineering Summits, as well as to Chattanooga for the Managers’ Meeting. In January 2013 I was given the opportunity to move into the Continuous Improvement Engineering role. In this role, I supported both 2 customers through their Kenco Operating System deployments. I was also able to help out with other customer operations as well. In October 2016, I was promoted to Manager of the Site-Dedicated Engineering group, just over four years into my time with Kenco.”
