Kenco Muscles Up As Swim Course Presenting Sponsor For Little Debbie Ironman® Chattanooga Triathlon

Company Will Sponsor Swim Race and Handle Logistics for Competition that Benefits Cohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America—
Kenco will make a big splash as a sponsor of the legendary IRONMAN® triathlon when it comes to Chattanooga this fall.

Kenco will be the IRONMAN Chattanooga Swim Course presenting sponsor and will handle equipment and supply logistics for the event.

Little Debbie IRONMAN Chattanooga to Benefit the Cohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America is one of 17 North American IRONMAN triathlons and will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2014. The event consists of a 2.4-mile swim, starting on the Tennessee River near the Kenco headquar-ters; a 112-mile bike ride from downtown Chattanooga to North Georgia—and back; and the culminating 26.2-mile run is around the scenic city. More than 2,500 athletes are expected for the event.

Many of Kenco’s 3,500 employees are getting into the spirit of IRONMAN with their own Full Distance Triathlon. Between May 1 and Sept. 28, employees at Kenco’s more than 90 locations across North America are working to complete 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles of biking, and 26.2 miles of running. Those are the same distances that will be covered in the IRONMAN Chattanooga event; only the Kenco associates have three months—not just one day—to finish the challenge.
