Kenco Secures First Place in American Trucking Association’s National Truck Safety Contest
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., Nov. 29, 2017 – Kenco Transportation Services was recently awarded a top safety honor in the American Trucking Association (ATA) National Truck Safety Contest at the 2017 Safety, Security, and Human Resources National Conference and Exhibition in Memphis, TN. Kenco received first place in the General Commodities Truckload / Line-haul Division, up to 10 million miles category. The ATA is the largest national trade association for the trucking industry, consisting of a federation of 50 affiliated state trucking associations and industry-related conferences and councils.
“We’re extremely proud and honored to be awarded first place in such an important competition, especially given it’s focused on truck safety,” said Jeff Tanner, vice president, risk management. “Winning first place this year is a true testament to our commitment to safety and will continue to be the gold standard for our operations.”
Kenco has received the ATA National Truck Safety Award in years past, winning first place in 2015 and second place in 2016, both in the General Commodities Truckload / Line-haul Division, up to 10 million miles category. Kenco was also honored with the 2015 ATA President’s Award in the under 25 million miles category.
